RADICAL: Chest X Ray

Working in partnership with Qure.ai Technologies Ltd, RADICAL will evaluate how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can assist in triaging patients that have been referred for a Chest X Ray.

Hosted in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, this 16-month study will examine referrals from a GP or outpatient clinic, analysing CXR images and highlighting potential clinical diagnosis for Radiologist review and decision, with main focus for this study on lung cancer presence or absence.

The study, which is 50% funded by the industry partner and 50% funded by the CSO via a successful CfSD funding bid, is currently at the design and definition phase.
