New NHS Scotland Innovation Fellowship Scheme open
Applications are now open for the Innovation Fellowship Scheme, which offers exciting opportunities to contribute to, conduct and lead innovation projects.
Potential candidates are those looking to develop an innovation career within their own post, have until Wednesday 15th of June to apply.
The aim of the Innovation Fellowship Scheme is to strengthen the innovation culture to solve real problems in the NHS and social care, improving the quality, efficiency and sustainability of health and care delivery and supporting NHS Scotland’s Re-mobilise, Recover, Re-design Framework.
In alignment with NHS Scotland national priorities and SHIP (Scottish Heath and Industry Partnership) Signalling Plan, Innovation Fellows will an innovation workstream and must demonstrate a set of values and passion for sharing learning and experiences to benefit more people across NHS Scotland.
Professor David Lowe, Clinical Director, Scottish Health and Industry Partnership, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for NHS staff who wish to pursue a career in innovation, while developing their own knowledge and skills.
“By giving fellows dedicated time to focus on innovation within their current role, we can share ideas, findings and strengthen the innovation culture within NHS Scotland and beyond, while supporting the NHS Recovery Plan.”
The scheme will support fellows for two years. It is expected that, on completion of their Innovation Fellowship, successful candidates will continue to be actively involved in the design and development of innovative solutions within their area of work.
